It doesn’t really achieve anything in this context. I spend 3 hours getting Synergy to work with my Mac and Windows 7 laptop. To share mouse and keyboard, ShareMouse does not require any internet connection at all. Synergy v2 now phones home to their servers on every connection and they took away the drag & drop feature.
Please understand, that it is not a software flaw or fault if you get license notifications because you use features of a paid edition without paying for it. I had a couple of issues that came up and every time I got a reply from their support within 60 seconds! Neither Synergy, Mouse Borders or Input Director can keep up with the ease of use and stability. Synergy was written first and has always been open source, so the question makes perfect sense. But if I could give some feedback to the makers, it’d be to make the pricing a bit more accessible and the mechanism for enforcing the licenses a little bit more conventional. However… bundling software with 3rd party toolbar browser “add-ons” like Synergy does certainly compromises user’s privacy: It’s the sole job of “browser add-ons” of this nature to collect, share and exploit user’s data! It happens, and I would assume that would really lead to a great support experience for him anyway. I recently tried Sharemouse Standard Edition ($49.95/year) to my two iMacs, and I wanted to give an honest review - Don't waste your money. Synergy V2 has been out for 6 months now (although still Beta as of May 2018) and it is a complete re-write of the UI, including addressing many of the feature differences pointed out by the article’s author.
I am struggling to read your answer as your language is deficient in basic structure. That being said you did not respond to my second email in which I asked if someone could simply acknowledge if these issues are being addressed. Synergy seems to be working just fine.Ĭomputer to control any(!) More on that later. Stable software and a stable support teams are important in business, and they seem to be lacking at times in both of these areas. (They told me this when I asked for clarification after they refunded my money). Input Director does both of the above out of the box and is completely free. However since they asked for my feedback I gave it. If the troubleshooting doesn’t help we would have no idea what do look for anyway.
